Name, symbol, atomic number, atomic weight and category — plus period, group, block and phase, all derived rather than stored so the data can never drift out of sync.

Four questions about yesterday's element. The card at the top starts blank and fills in as you answer, so the full entry assembles itself a fact at a time.

2×2 and 2×4 sizes, a week of entries queued at a time, so it keeps rolling over at local midnight even if the app is never opened.

A Colour Each
All 118 elements have a shade of their own. Each category owns a band of the colour wheel, so the palette reads as families at a glance and no two elements collide.
Works Offline
The choice is arithmetic, not a download. Nothing is fetched and nothing is stored on a server, so two devices never disagree and the app works on a plane.

Same element, everywhere, every day
Element of the Day picks the day's element by arithmetic rather than by lottery — so everyone opening the app on the same date sees the same thing, wherever they are.
The local date becomes a day number, 118 days make a cycle, and each cycle gets its own seeded shuffle. Every element is used exactly once per cycle, a fresh order begins each time round, and a new cycle never opens with the element the last one closed on.
It's free, and it stays free because of its ads. Element of the Day Plus is an auto-renewing subscription that removes every ad and unlocks all six themes — the only thing the app sells.
